Sarah Platenius’ writing has been published in Orion, Terrain, North American Review, and other journals and anthologies. In 2024, she was a semi-finalist for the Terry Tempest Williams Creative Nonfiction Prize sponsored by North American Review. Her artwork has appeared in Sage Magazine (Yale School of the Environment), Camas Magazine, The Hopper, California Native Plant Society, Scoundrel Times, and Wilderness Literary Review. Her paintings have been exhibited at Federation Gallery, Sooke Fine Arts Show, Old School House Gallery, Tofino Gallery of Contemporary Art among other galleries and shows.
